Wadhwani Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation set up by Dr. Romesh Wadhwani, a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist, is positively impacting the lives of millions of individuals across the globe. The Foundation is helping people in Asia, Africa, and Latin America through various programs in Entrepreneurship Development, Skilling, Innovation & Research, and Government Digital Transformation.

On October 23, 2024, the Wadhwani Foundation, in collaboration with the All India Management Association (AIMA), the apex management professional body engaged in education, consultancy, capacity building, and advocacy for the promotion and development of the management profession, launched a unique initiative “Accelerate” in New Delhi, aimed at boosting growth of the MSME sector over the next five years, leading to enhanced employment generation.

The program aims to provide consultancy support to MSME enterprises that have the potential and desire to grow multifold over the next three years. The program envisages focused and customised expert support for 70 manhours to selected enterprises over three months, followed by continued online support. Enterprises will be facilitated to identify their business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to determine the strategy for achieving the business goal identified for growth (exports, domestic markets, operational efficiency, marketing and sales, digital transformation, technology upgrade, supply chain, etc.). Experts/ mentors will be attached to each enterprise based on their business, products, location, and growth idea.

For the first cohort of the Accelerate program, a group of 25 MSME enterprises across businesses has been selected after a rigorous selection process from among 125 applicants from Delhi, Haryana, and UP (mostly belonging to the NCR). The CEOs/ owners of these enterprises attended the launch / induction event and were very enthusiastic and committed to the success of the initiative, which was aimed at helping them grow without any cost for professional support from the Wadhwani Foundation.

The Wadhwani Foundation proposes to roll out the Accelerate program for many such batches across the country.  The next cohort is expected to begin in January 2025. MSME Enterprises desirous of getting the benefit of the Accelerate program to achieve their business growth idea may contact Ekta Nayyar ( enayyar@aima.in ).
